Laura Grybkauskaitė wins the competition for Cultural Attaché to Israel
Laura Grybkauskaitė, an artist, coordinator and curator of various cultural projects, has won the Ministry of Culture’s competition for the post of Cultural Attaché at the Diplomatic Mission of the Republic of Lithuania to the State of Israel.
Out of the six participants in the competition, she received the highest number of points from the jury.
L. Grybkauskaitė coordinated cultural projects at the Embassy of the State of Israel in Lithuania between 2017 and 2023. Previously, she has worked at the Art Factory Loftas, Pamėnkalnis gallery, the gallery of the Lithuanian Artists’ Association, Juškus and Vartai galleries.
L. Grybkauskaitė, who has won the competition, received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the Vilnius Academy of Arts.
The term of office of the Cultural Attaché is three years.
A cultural attaché is a special attaché who works at an embassy or consular office of the Republic of Lithuania in a foreign country, ensuring and implementing international cooperation in the field of management entrusted to the Minister of Culture.
The successful candidate may take up their duties subject to a security clearance certificate issued in accordance with the procedure laid down by law and the approval of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
