Income tax exemption for film production extended until the end of 2028
Today, the Seimas has approved the proposal to extend the income tax exemption for another five years until 31 December 2028.
In 2022, using the exemption, film producers collected over 17.8 million euros of funds from Lithuanian companies: that’s 18 percent more than in 2021. This is the largest amount received since the exemption has been in effect. Last year, 85 new films that made use of the exemption were financed: 63 national, 13 foreign and 9 co-production film projects.
