At a festival in Ljubljana: exceptional attention to Baltic music industries
Vice-Minister of Culture Vygintas Gasparavičius will visit the MENT Ljubljana festival in Slovenia on 28–30 March. In the festival's special programme Baltic moMENT, exceptional attention will be devoted to the music industries of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia; there will be concerts, meetings and discussions about our region's music scene.
Lithuania's music scene will be represented by performer Jausmė, the groups Planeta Polar and Plié, and the duet Superkoloritas. Showings of films produced in the Baltic countries also have a place in the programme. The short film Techno, Mama by director Saulius Baradinskas will be shown.
Also during the visit, the Vice-Minister of Culture and representatives of the ministries of culture of Latvia and Estonia will meet Asta Vrečko, the Minister of Culture of Slovenia. During the meeting, it is planned to share the most important plans of each ministry of culture for 2023, and to discuss measures to assist Ukraine's cultural sector.
MENT Ljubljana is one of the most important music industry events in Central and Eastern Europe. The festival of musical discovery presents performers from across Europe to an international audience of music industry professionals and listeners.
