In cooperation with the network of cultural attachés, Lithuanian National Radio and Television (LRT) presents a new cultural podcast in English, Culture Nerve.

In each episode of the new podcast, a Lithuanian and a foreign expert will sit down for a virtual talk about what matters most in social and cultural life.

The podcast, discussing current questions in the cultural and art world, seeks to deepen the international character of the cultural content created by LRT, expand international cooperation between cultural professionals, and encourage exchange of best practice.

In the first Culture Nerve episode, cultural heritage was discussed by Professor Roberto Farneti of the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano and historian and diplomat Irena Vaišvilaitė. The participants discussed the Soviet and Fascist legacy in their countries, society's involvement in the processes of memory, and the authorities' wish to tendentiously shape cultural heritage policy.

New episodes of the podcast will be presented every second Wednesday, and will be available at LRT.lt audioteka as well as on the most popular podcast platforms. The Lithuanian-speaking audience can hear the main ideas of Culture Nerve guests on the LRT Radio programme Kultūros savaitė, broadcast on Saturdays.
