T. Okmanas and E. Sabaliauskas awarded the title of National Patron for their support of the Public Institution Blue and Yellow
The Government passed a decision to award Tomas Okmanas and Eimantas Sabaliauskas, shareholders of Tesonet Global, the title of National Patron for their donation of EUR 1,022,500 to the public institution "Blue and Yellow". The institution’s donation to Ukraine was recognised as a Patronage Project.
According to provisions of the Law on Patronage, the project is recognised as a patronage project, the title of national patron is awarded, and decisions on the revocation of the title of national patron are taken by the Government on the recommendation of the Minister of Culture, after evaluation of the proposal of the Patronage Council.
The title of National Patron is awarded for a donation of €1 million at the least for the implementation of projects receiving patronage.
This is the second time since the Law on Patronage was adopted in 2018 that the title of National Patron has been awarded.
The Ministry of Culture plans to honour national, municipal and community patrons in a joint event every year on the occasion of the 15th of November, the Day of Patronage.
