News about the 100-year anniversary of restored independence of Lithuania spread far and wide across the United Kingdom. A Date on Sunday, a poem of Lithuanian poet Antanas Šimkus, appeared in the London metro which is used by almost 5 million people every day.

Lithuanian Hall at Seinai Theological College

Architecture of Optimism: The Kaunas Phenomenon, 1918–1940

Travelling exhibition “Architecture of Optimism: The Kaunas Phenomenon, 1918–1940” starts its journey on 14 th February at the National Gallery of Art in Vilnius. The project is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the restored Lithuania and will travel this year to Paris, Rome, Tallinn, Wroclaw, Brussels, and other European cities.

The most artistic books of last year have been selected

The Book Art contest organised by the Ministry of Culture annually was already held for the jubilee 25th time this year. 54 publishers presented 116 books for it, and the most artistically designed and the best printed books issued in Lithuania in 2017 were selected according to the printing and artistic criteria.
