Ūla Marija Tornau won the competition for the position of cultural attaché in the United Kingdom

Dr. Ūla Marija Tornau has won a competition of the Ministry of Culture for the position of a cultural attaché at the diplomatic representation of the Republic of Lithuania in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Ms Tornau has received the highest number of scores from the commission. There were four applicants for this position.

Ms Tornau obtained a PhD degree in Art Studies at Vilnius Academy of Arts in 2016. She has been working in the Contemporary Art Centre since 2007.

The winner of the competition may take up the position after obtaining a Personnel Security Clearance Certificate issued in accordance with the procedure defined by laws and upon approval of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania. The term of office of a cultural attaché is three years.
