Rimantas Vingras won the competition for the position of cultural attaché in the Russian Federation

Mr. Rimantas Vingras has won a competition of the Ministry of Culture for the position of a cultural attaché at the diplomatic representation of the Republic of Lithuania in the Russian Federation. Mr. Vingras has received the highest number of scores from the commission. There were six applicants for this position.

Mr. Vingras obtained Master’s degree in Art at Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory in 1996 and Master’s degree in Music at the University of Cincinnati (USA) in 2001. Since 2011, Mr. Vingas has been carrying out projects promoting international cooperation in the cultural and art fields. This year, Mr. Vingras has started lecturing at the Music Academy of Vytautas Magnus University.

The winner of the competition may take up the position after obtaining a Personnel Security Clearance Certificate issued in accordance with the procedure defined by laws and upon approval of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania. The term of office of a cultural attaché is three years.
