Today, the Government meeting approved an updated plan to increase the number of participants (spectators) in cultural events. It would apply from June 17 to August 31.

The number of participants and/or spectators allowed for cultural, entertainment, sports or other events is increased gradually: from June 17 to June 30 – up to 150 people indoors and up to 700 people in open spaces, from July 1 to July 15 – up to 200 people indoors and up to 1000 people in open spaces. For events taking place from July 16 to July 31, the number of spectators would be limited to 250 people indoors and up to 1000 people in open spaces, from August 1 to August 15 – up to 300 spectators indoors and up to 1000 in open spaces. Up to 350 people will be able to attend the events from August 16 to August 31 indoors and up to 1000 in open spaces. Performers, organisers and service staff are not included in this amount.

From June 17, closed spaces cannot be filled by more than 50 percent. The seats of participants (spectators) must be arranged on a checkerboard pattern. Mass events with more than 1000 participants are not planned in the Republic of Lithuania until 31 August 2020.

If the situation in COVID-19 changes, the plan to increase the number of participants (spectators) in cultural events may be revised or cancelled.
