Invitation to Participate in the Baltic School of Museology

The training of the Baltic School of Museology will take place in Narva (Estonia) on August 2–8. This topic of this year is “Risk Management and Crisis Preparedness at Museums”.

The Ministry of Culture invites to apply for training in the Baltic School of Museology until June 22. Ten museum specialists from each of the Baltic States take part in the training lasting for one week. Training is conducted in English. In selecting the participants of the Baltic School of Museology, the priority will be given to those museum specialists whose nature of work is closely related to the topic of this year’s training.

The Baltic School of Museology is an ongoing international cooperation project organised annually since 2004 to improve the professional skills of Lithuanian, Latvian and Estonian museologists and to promote their cultural cooperation. Every year the school is organised in a different Baltic state. In 2004–2007, 2010, 2013, 2016, 2019 it took place in Latvia, in 2008, 2011, 2014, 2017 in Estonia, in 2009, 2012, 2015, 2018 in Lithuania.
