Liana Ruokytė-Jonsson Won the Competition for the Position of Cultural Attaché in Sweden

Ms Liana Ruokytė-Jonsson has won a competition of the Ministry of Culture for the position of a cultural attaché at the diplomatic representation of the Republic of Lithuania in Sweden, Finland and Denmark. Ms Ruokytė-Jonsson has received the highest number of scores from the commission. There were nine applicants for this position.

Ms Ruokytė-Jonsson worked as a cultural attaché in Sweden from 1999 to 2007. During the period from 2008 to 2012, she took the position of a cultural attaché in Denmark, Iceland and Norway.

The winner of the competition may take up the position after obtaining a Personnel Security Clearance Certificate issued in accordance with the procedure defined by laws and upon approval of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania. The term of office of a cultural attaché is three years. The cultural attaché will start work in Sweden, Finland and Denmark on September 1.
